We've made it through the first week of the 2025 season and here is a quick recap of how it went.
Week number one in the new dynasty league has come and gone and as the dust settles, it's time to take a look back at the five league matchups for week 1 to see how each team fared. Just as importantly, how did the commissioner do with his picks for week 1?

Burrows Churros knocks down Vigilante Blitz (128.92-83.42)
Burrows Churros takes week 1 by a comfy 45.5 points, despite Joe Burrow looking like he accidentally left his throwing arm somewhere in the preseason. Still, even Burrow’s dud outshined Xavier Worthy’s disappearing act — three snaps, zero points, and a fantasy obituary. Vigilante Blitz may be locked in a season-long duel with the Miami Dolphins for the coveted lowest win percentage trophy.
Commissioner’s Pick: Burrows Churros (WINNER)
Team Michelle edges out 4th and Forever (113.46-112.70)
Lamar Jackson went full “human joystick” with two passing TDs and a rushing score, dragging Team Michelle across the finish line by the width of a shoelace — 0.76 points. Fun fact: Lamar alone outscored 4th and Forever’s quarterback horde, proving quality > quantity unless you’re at a buffet.
Commissioner’s Pick: 4th and Forever (LOSER)
Ceedee's TD's buries Team Bowen on late TD (146.48-143.56)
League morale took a nosedive as Ceedee’s TD’s squeaked out a win. Rumor has it their owner also steals candy from kids and doesn’t recycle. Despite Team Bowen unleashing a thunderstorm of 82.98 points from his QB and RB duo, Aaron Jones delivered a last-minute dagger. Fantasy heartbreak: now in high-definition.
Commissioner’s Pick: Team Bowen (LOSER)
Who'sAfraidOfKittleOldMe beats her bestie in week 1 (140.88-140.38)
Best friends, worst enemies. WAOKOM slipped past Team Jeremy by just half a point — the cruelest of margins. Jalen Hurts and Bijan Robinson brought the big-boy numbers, while Jeremy will spend the week Googling “How to be happy after losing by 0.5.” Misery loves company, and the league is here for it.
Commissioner’s Pick: Who’sAfraidOfKittleOldMe (WINNER)
Baisden's Bungals bungle opener vs Team Andrew (147.52-139.82)
Team Andrew rode Justin Herbert’s cannon arm and Saquon Barkley’s legs to victory over Baisden’s Bungals, whose name turned out to be a prophecy. The real Bengals found a way to win this week, but Garan’s fantasy version… not so much. At least “there’s always next week” is free to say.
Commissioner’s Pick: Baisden’s Bungals (LOSER)
