We're one week into the new season and the Commissioner's Picks are off to a bit of a cold start (2-3). The commish looks to rebound in week 2 with a winning record, but can he go 5-0? Not likely.

Week #2 is here -- let's get started!
Burrows Churros (1-1) vs 4th and Forever (0-2)
Winner: Burrows Churros
This feels like a classic clash of momentum versus desperation. Burrows Churros is coming off a strong Week 1 win, with Burrow finally healthy and Puka vacuuming up targets like a Roomba. Across the field, 4th and Forever is leaning on Jefferson and Achane to keep things interesting, but Jared Goff on the road is never a safe bet. Andrews could swing it, but I’m not counting on it. I’ll stick with the hot hand—the commish picks himself again in week 2.
Team Bowen (1-1) vs Team Andrew (2-0)
Winner: Team Andrew
Team Bowen feels like the flashy sports car that might stall out at the red light—Josh Allen’s rocket arm is undeniable, but the rest of the lineup still has some “what ifs” attached. Team Andrew, on the other hand, is more like the truck that just keeps on rolling. Herbert, Barkley, and London give him a strong foundation every week, and McConkey is already proving he belongs in lineups. I’ll take steady points over potential this time. Two-drink Drewski gets the win in week 2.
Team Jeremy (1-1) vs Vigilante Blitz (0-2)
Winner: Vigilante Blitz
Stroud and Gibbs give Team Jeremy plenty of upside, but I don’t love the supporting cast this week. Irving and Egbuka still feel like “wait and see” options, and that leaves too much pressure on the stars to carry the load. Vigilante Blitz, meanwhile, looks due for a bounce-back. Daniels brings rushing upside, Kyren has been automatic in the red zone, and Chase is overdue for a monster game. Give me Ashley in week 2 to get into the win column.
Baisden's Bungals (0-2) vs Ceedee's TD's (2-0)
Winner: Baisden's Bungals
Baisden’s Bungals might’ve stumbled in Week 1, but when you roll out Mahomes, McCaffrey, St. Brown, and Kelce, you don’t stay down long. That’s basically the fantasy equivalent of bringing a tank to a water gun fight. Ceedee’s TD’s has some weapons—Henry can still truck defenders, and Lamb will do his thing—but Baker Mayfield and James Cook don’t exactly strike fear into me. History says we don’t pick Ceedee’s TD’s, and this roster matchup makes it easy to stick with tradition. Baisden's Bungals take this one as it's one more week of picking against Lucky.
Who'sAfraidOfKittleOldMe (2-0) vs Team Michelle (1-1)
Winner: Who'sAfraidOfKittleOldMe
If you’re looking for fireworks, this matchup has them—Lamar and Tyreek could be lightning in a bottle, but I think Jalen Hurts and Bijan Robinson write the real Love Story this week. Add Swift and JSN to the mix, and suddenly this lineup feels like it’s Enchanted to rack up points. Michelle’s got plenty of upside with Jeanty as a wild card, but she’s facing the one opponent I’ll never pick against (at least in week 2). Katie goes to 2-0 heads up, and I’ll be singing along the whole way.
